Joy! Relief! More work?

So on Friday, I decided (and by "decided" I mean "was coerced by my mother") to spend this wonderful three-day weekend working on all of my college application stuff. I wasn't very excited about it, especially when I was sitting at my computer editing on Saturday night while all of my friends were out having fun, but now that the weekend is coming to an end, I can honestly say that I'm pretty glad I did. I had been dreading the editing project that was ahead of me; a five minute documentary about keeping the arts in public schools. I didn't think that it was going to be any good, and I really did not want to sift through the hours of footage I had accumulated over the summer. I'd been working on it little by little for a few weeks, but I decided that this weekend I would just buckle down and finish it.

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that I did.

Not only did I get this project out of the way (which is a huge relief, because the deadline for one of the film competitions I'm entering it in is two weeks away), but it turned out so much better than I thought it would! I'm actually really proud of it!

Of course, being me, the first thing I want to do is post it on the internet. Unfortunately, I can't do that until December or January. Certain film competitions don't want any of their entries to be posted before they're submitted, and I also want to wait until I send it off to the schools I'm applying to.

But rest assured, the second I'm able to post it, I will. (Not that there is anyone reading this blog. And the only people who actually want to see this video are my friends, who I can show at my house...)

Anywho, I must be going now. I have Psych notes to take, and more college applications to work on. Yay!

Since I'm not uploading the video now, or any time soon, here is the intro image thingy.
Just in case you were interested...
