Today was an interesting day. I had my usual array of amazing classes, and I had a double lunch (which I used to run to Kings and buy goodies for the choir council meeting), but I also realized just how much work I'm going to have to do over the next few months. And let me tell you now, it's a lot of work.
I'm applying to five of my twelve schools early action, and almost all of the schools I'm applying to have a ton of supplemental and portfolio stuff. On one hand, I can kind of see the light at the end of this tunnel, because all of this has to be done by the beginning of December no matter what, but on the other hand I want to cry because it's a freaking lot of work! I don't want to complain about it anymore, because I brought all of this on myself by applying to a million and one schools, but I just needed to whine a little bit to get it off of my chest.
Now, on to the second part of this blog entry. I'm making an official list of long-term goals for myself, and I'm going to post it on here so that I feel like I have to do it because it's up on the internets. (not that anyone actually reads this blog, like I've said before)
So here it is. My list of long-term goals (subject to change whenever I feel like adding stuff):
- Read at least two books every month (not counting the books I read for all of my classes)
- Write a blog entry at least five days out of the week
- Keep working on my scrapbook/journal thing that I started
- Get into college (that's a big one)
-Stay on top of my school work, and actually study
- If nothing else, keep my desk and notebooks organized. The rest of my room can do whatever it wants.
Okey dokey, I think that's all for now. Now I have to do these things or the creatures that run the internet will come and get me.
